Live Insects

Non Toxic insecticide, how on earth can that be so?

Remember DDT? It really got a bad press.  It certainly killed a lot of mosquitoes, (fish, plants, animals, people?). Diabolical stuff.

We don't use it anymore.  it's not allowed, like so many other things. It really worked though, didn't it. I loved the old pump tin and the way you could see them dying after you just zapped them.  Ho hum, so what to do now?

All sorts of things have been developed, most of them to do with really high tech genetic manipulation. That's OK for the scientists, but what WE need is something to squirt on the house plants that doesn't kill the dog or the fishes, (or the kids!)

A lot of clever people have developed a new thing.  It doesn't poison insects, it drowns them!  It is a light oily substance that can be sprayed and what happens is the oil sticks on the insects body and by some freak of nature, they breathe through their bodies and when they have oil on them, they can't , so ZAP. - lots of dead insects.  Spray it on the fish on the plants, on the dog, on the wife, - Nothing. You can even spray it on your salad. (I wouldn't, but one thing I do when I am trying to sell it to a prospective user is spray a little on my hand,  AND LICK IT!  They just hold their breath and wait for me to keel over, as I have already told them it is a new insecticide.  When I don't - and there is no danger at all really, they usually buy a carton).

Don't think it is not high tech itself. A lot of research has gone into developing exactly the right formula for this. It is aptly named EcoPlant and is available in nice little spray bottles, that are not covered with health warning and instructions to keep it away from everything you do not want to exterminate immediately. Not only little bottles but if you want to kill A LOT of insects it can be sold to farms etc. in great big drums! It is also cheaper that way. Very simple, very safe, and the bugs hate it. What more could you want.  You can get it from me in Fujairah or from the Distributor:- Norman Sheppard, at Laps. in Dubai  Tel. 9714 394 3350 Also Dubai Garden Centre.
